Giuseppe La Rosa

The young italian lyric tenor Giuseppe La Rosa was born in 1993 in Syracuse (Italy). He began studying opera singing at the age of 14. In 2012 he was admitted at the Conservatorio “V. Bellini”of Catania under the guidance of soprano Francesca Scaini.

He took part in masterclasses with Elisa Turlà, Franco Fussi, Gianluca Gucciardo and with the tenor M. Giordani. He further developed his skills at the Young Artists Plus Academy (YAP). 

Giuseppe is a Finalist at the 5th International Opera Competition "Arturo Toscanini" of Levate (Bergamo), Semifinalist at the "Etta and Paolo Limiti Prize" competition in Milan and at the VI International Singing competition "Marcello Giordani" in the city of Noto (Sr) and was selected to take part as a challenger in the TV program "Amici".

Giuseppe performed in recitals and concerts on the stages of Teatro Comunale di Syracuse, Arena Maniace (Sr), Teatro Comunale di Noto (Sr), Teatro Comunale of Modica (Rg), Teatro ASAM (Sr), the Ancient Theater of Taormina and at the Greek Theater of Syracuse. 

He took part in several tournèes alongside the Coro Lirico Siciliano, including Gozo (Malta) at the Astra Theater, and in China, where he performed concerts during the grand opening of Tianjin and the Grand Theater of Harbin. 

In 2015 he participated at the International Music Festival of Macao, and in 2017 in the sixth edition of the "Oscar della Lirica" promoted by the “Verona Foundation for the Arena” in the city of Haikou in China. 

On the opera stage Giuseppe already has performed the roles of the Count Almaviva from the "Barber of Seville" by G. Rossini at the Theater Città della Notte (Augusta). Subsequently he performed the role of Don Ramiro from Rossini's "La cenerentola" in the auditorium hall of Pordenone. 

From the sacred repertoire he performed the "Messa Hodie Christus Natus Est" by the composer Davide Liani in tours on the Triveneto. 

The talented tenor has collaborated with artists such as: Fabio Armiliato, Giovanna Casolla, Daniela Dessì, John Osborn, Dimitra Theodosiou and Andrea Bocelli. 

Among the conductors with the M° Alberto Veronesi, Luiz Fernando Malheiro, Lü Jia.
