Lyrical coloratura soprano, born in Lodz, Poland. A soloist of the Grand Theatre in Lodz, Poland. She studied and graduated Bachelor in vocal and acting at the Music Academy in Lodz, in class of Urszula Kryger and Bernadetta Grabias. The Artist made her debut on stage in 2010, durying the world prapremiere of Loves from Valldemosa Monastery, composed by M. Ptaszynska (Solange), in the Grand Theatre in Lodz.

 

As a vocal student, she took a part in many student projects, such as Coffee Cantata by J. S. Bach (Lieschen) and Lodz Story by W. Korcz (Ewa) – a world prapremiere. She also represented the Music Academy in Lodz twice, durying the Young Opera Forum in Bydgoszcz (2013 and 2014).

She cooperates with the Grand Theatre in Lodz in numerous roles: Rosina  (Il barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini), Zerlina (Don Giovanni by W.A.Mozart), Gilda (Rigoletto by G.Verdi), Frasquita (Carmen by G.Bizet), Adele (Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss), Arsena (Der Zigeunerbaronby J. Strauss), Ciboletta (Eine Nacht in Venedig by J.Strauss), Zofia (Halka by S.Moniuszko), Eliza (My Fair Lady by F.Loewe), Daughter / Workwoman (The Man from Manufacture by Rafał Janiak)., Luigia ("Viva la Mamma" by Donizetti") etc.

 

In 2015 she made her debut in the Polish National Opera in A miracle, or Cracovians and Highlanders by J. Stefani (Basia). This project is made with a cooperation with the Young Artist Program – Opera Academy in the Polish National Opera in Warsaw.

In 2017 she made her debut in the Wroclaw Opera House in Die Zauberfloete by W. A. Mozart (Papagena). In the same season she took a part in the polish prapremiere of Armide by G. B. Lully in the Warsaw Chamber Opera (Sidonie). That was a coproduction of the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik with the Music Festival Potsdam Sanssouci in cooperation with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles.

The Artist created her opera roles in cooperation with acclaimed directors, such as Tomasz Konina, Deda Cristina Colonna, Giorgio Madia, Beata Redo-Dobber, Natalia Babińska, Maria Sartova, Artur Hofman, Jarosław Kilian, Paolo Bosisio, Waldemar Zawodziński.

In her artistic achievements Borkiewicz also has a participation in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff (soprano part) with the Polish Young Chamber Choir, Exsultate Jubilate by W. A. Mozart, with a String and Brass Orchestra of Music Academy in Lodz and Stabat Mater by G. Rossini with an Orchestra of Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra.

She cooperated with many conductors, such as Wojciech Rodek, Eraldo Salmieri, Jacek Sykulski, Ruben Silva, Marcin Wolniewski, Wojciech Michniewski, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Benjamin Bayl, Przemysław Fiugajski, Michał Kocimski, Marta Kosielska, Andrzej Knap.

A winner of a special prize at XVI International Voice Competition, name of Ada Sari – the best interpretation of a polish song and XVIII International Voice Competition, name of Ada Sari – an outstanding performance of a song written by modern composer, special prizes at Vocal Competition in Mlawa – Poland, semi-finalist of an International Competition “Grand Prix de’l Opera Bucuresti” and a finalist of first International Competition “Voci dal Mondo” in Turin, directed by Renata Scotto.

A stipendist of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for an outstanding music activity (twice, 2015 and 2016).
