The Bulgarian soprano Tanya Ivanova obtained a Masters degree at the “Pancho Vladigerov” National Academy of Music.
She made her debut on stage as Hélène in Jacques Offenbach’s “La belle Hélène”.
She began her professional career as mezzosoprano but later changed to soprano and quickly gained a significant repertoire with roles such as Tosca, Mimi (La bohème), Cio-Cio-san(Madama Butterfly), Odabella (Attila), Elizabeth (Don Carlos), Lady Macbeth, Leonora (La Forza Del Destino) and Verdi's Aida.
In 2013 she recorded arias by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini and Antonin Dvorak at the Bulgarian National Radio under the direction of Ivan Anguelov.
In February 015 Tanya Ivanova made her debut on the stage of Sofia Opera and Ballet as Tosca.
After her success in this role she was invited again to sing this time “Madam Butterfly” in Puccini’s eponymous opera.
She is a soloist of Opera Plovdiv since 2014/2015 season, where she holds all main spinto-dramatic soprano roles.
In 2017, at the Opera Open Festival in Plovdiv she worked with famous director Stefano Poda’s staging of Verdi’s “La Forza del Destino” as Leonora di Vargas. In 2018 she is invited by Niksa Bareza, director of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, to sing Turandot in a new production directed by Ricci/Forte (www.ricciforte.com).
In December 2018, upon invitation by Maestro Borislav Ivanov, she sang Mimi in Puccini’s “La bohème” at the Forest National in Brussels (www.forest-national.be) directed by Jean-François D'hondt.
In 2019, she participated in three major operas within the Opera Open Festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria:

"AIDA" amongside colleague singers Kamen Chanev and Kiril Manolov
