Daniela Diakova

The mezzosopran Daniela Diakova is a regular guest soloist in all main theaters in her home country Bulgaria as the National Opera of Sofia, State Opera Varna and Burgas, the State Opera Stara Zagora, concert hall "Bulgaria". 

Mrs Diakova triumphs also on many international stages in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, Holland and Spain, Japan. In two consecutive years she is invited to perform the role of Amneris from "Aida" at the Luglio Musicale Trapanse in the Ancient Theater of Taormina, Italy. She earns also a huge success in the same role at the National Opera in Belgrade and at the National Theater in Prague.  Mrs Diakova is sought-after for her impressive portrayals of Eboli (Don Carlo), Carmen (Carmen), Dalila (Samson et Dalila), Amneris (Aida), Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana), Adalgisa (Norma), Asucena (Il trovatore), Princess de Bouillon (“Adriana Lecouvreur”) and many others. Her latest role debut in the extremely demanding role of Selika from Meyerbeer's opera "L'AFRICAINE" under the direction of the famous stage director Vera NEMIROVA proved once more her exceptional talent and vocal mastership. 

Education and awards

Daniela Diakova graduated with the highest grade in opera singing at the National Musical Academy "Pancho Vladigerov"-Sofia in the class of Konstantsa Vatchkova, Rusko Ruskov and Hristina Angelakova.

She took part in masterclasses with Luca Gorla in "Scuola Civica di Musica" in Milan, with the French opera singer Caroline Dumas and specialized under the guidance of Sergio Segalini in "Academia D'Arte Lirica" in Osimo, Italy;

Daniela Diakova has obtained many awards among others the first prizes at  the International competition for best opera singer - Dobrich, Bulgaria and the International competition "Young opera singers " - Sofia, Bulgaria;
